The Bush adminstration is quietly making approval for a super highway 10 lanes wide, train, and oil pipe lines running from the South of Mexico to the Heart of America and onto Canada. This highly restricted highway will eliminate unions as cheap Mexican labour can take all products from the Far East by passing the American Border and drop off all products in Kanasas City for clearance and then onto any desination in the USA or Canada.

The SPP agreement was signed by Bush, President Vicente Fox, and then-Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Tex., on March 23, 2005. This was to allow for a smooth transporation strategy to make commerce through the three countries easier and cheaper. Construction of this Highway has begun in Mexico already and plans to start construction in US will begin 2007. The highway will be restricted and tolled for those who get approval and is expected to elimate the use of Ports such as Los Angeles as shippers will move to sending via Mexico for cheaper shipping costs. In essense the Highway is being built and little to no News agencies bother telling us about how much this will cost and who is building it.

What will this do to the economy, Nafta, and everyones life around them when this highway is complete? Firstly shipments can by pass labour unions at ports by driving directly to Kanasas City's clearing house, meaning lower fees to bring in Asain Products and to cut out the Unions at shipping ports. It will also increase the amount of cars on the road and the need for gas forcing people to continue to rely on their oil. It will also be tolled so that non profit concept that NASCO brags about is not true, those who are building the highway stand to reap billions off Americans who want to use this Highway through tolls. Finally it will open up easier trade access and faster traveling for all import and export goods and people. It is no wonder this story is on the down low, as it bolsters the oil and cheap labour industries, killing unions and forces travelers to start paying for the privilage to use it under restrictive circumstances. Not only that, it will split the country in half and will be considered a high security zone so going over it or under might be restrictive by check points. Welcome to Free World and Free Trade.
