Borat Outrages Many Tops Box Office

Borat The Movie is in the news these days as he swept two weeks as the Number One movie before James Bond: Casino Royale takes that spot next week. Sacha Baron Cohen has been making millions while the others in the film he used to do his jokes do not. As a result he is being sued or will be sued by several people/groups who appeared in the movie and made no money off him.

During his time of filming Borat everyone was not informed of the true intent of the movie or how they were protrayed. We all know they signed contracts for release of them being filmed but the true nature was never told and maybe considered a breach of contract. For instances the college kids in the film stated they were given tons of alcohol and were promised the footage would not be shown in the US, whil the people of the village that represented the impoverished Kazakh home of Borat, was really called Glod: a remote mountain outpost with no sewerage or running water. The village is in Romania, and nobody in the village could afford to go to the movie to see how they are portrayed but they are extremely upset in what they hear. In the coming weeks it remains to be seen who else will step forward to claim injustice as Borat The Movie continues to make millions for only the star and not those who were shocked by his antics.

Cohen is better know for his Ali G character for similar antics but Borat has made everyone laugh this year as we bring back this type of humour again, you know the humour that everyone disallows now.
